Kiwi Grade

Venue:
Venue:
Sat. 8:30 -10.30am.
Game:
Game:
A Round Robin style of cricket with everyone getting the same chance to bat and bowl. Equal participation style of cricket played with a soft ball (Incrediball). This is a step up from Have-A-Go. Games are slightly longer and skills are starting to develop. Children are not dismissed when they go out but runs are added to the opposition team's score. Wides result in extras. Pairs of batters bat for a total of 4 overs (2 each). In the 2002/03 season a double innings was introduced to increase the action on the field. Like "Have-A-Go" it is still a family occasion with most parents on the sideline or helping out. The emphasis is on maintaining interest in the game, basic skills, parent participation and fun.
